TouchCAD 3.6 released

TouchCAD 3.6 is now released. The update is a free maintenance update for registered full version TouchCAD 3.5 users. Features include improvements in the user interface and support for both Vista and Mac OSX 10.5/Leopard. Examples of new features include:

New features for 2D drafting and documentation within the 3D environment.
Shaded surface object in the drawing area whit individual settings for each object.
Support for text in either 2D and 3D and with individual font and size settings.
Support for 3D measurement lines, measurement chains and coordinate measurements in the 3D environment.
Support for instructional arrows, dots or cross lines.
New features in the rounded rectangles, arc, circle tools.
Improved .STL file export.
Improved DXF-AAMA support, used for exporting to cutters in the fabrics industry.
Improved Control Point Resolution features with support for local modifications.
Improved database processing within an integrated spreadsheet for processing object names, weight and center of gravity, layer and color identity, 3D edge lengths, unfolded cutting lengths, labor and material costs.
Support for material stretch compensation in the X and Y directions of the unfolded parts.
Dramatically increased number of contextual menus, which dramatically reduce the number of tool changes.
New contextual menus in the 3D environment for extracting control rulers and cross curves, connecting objects with surface patches.
New contextual menus in the Unfold for quicker panel nesting, finding lowest rotation of a given panel, aligning panels.
New contextual menus in the Unfold for returning unfolded panels back to the 3D environment for after processing.
New contextual menus in the Render mode for changing view and returning a rendering to the 3D working area as a background image.
Background images are now printable as an integrated part of a drawing.

TouchCAD video tutorials updated

TouchCADs library of video tutorials have been updated substantially to better reflect the current version. Here are some highlights;

Getting started movies covering tools, menus, getting started and vat's new in TouchCAD 3.6.
Updated movies in the fabrics section for awnings and conic sail roofs as well as many new movies showing inflatable shapes such as tents, bouncy castles, spider tents, etc.
Reversed engineering examples using both 3D digitizers as well as background images/drawings.
